Syrah or Shiraz is a red-berried variety of controversial origins; some in fact consider that it originates from Iran while others think that its historic roots are linked to the territory of Syracuse from which it is dispersed to then be reintroduced into Italy from nearby France.

The Syrah gives a wine of ruby red color with violet tones, the intense and fruity fragrance with aromas of little black fruits and spices, evidently including black pepper. In the mouth, it presents a good structure and persistence, soft and quite fresh with medium tannicity.
