A native early-maturing Valdostan variety, it is one of the oenological "re-discoveries" of recent years. Although in limited numbers of plants, the Mayolet occupies a rather large cultivation area that extends from Saint-Vincent in Avise, on the right and left slopes of the Dora Baltea, and reaches the significant altitude of 800 meters above sea level, in association with other varieties.
